How Dell Trade-In Program Works


Purchase a qualifying Dell XPS laptop from a qualifying retailer to be eligible to claim a NZ$200 cashback reward.


After you've made your purchase, submit your claim for cashback. You'll need to do this within 30 days of making your purchase.

When submitting your claim, you'll be required to provide the following information:

  • Purchase date
  • Retailer
  • Purchase details and service tag number
  • Contact details
  • Proof of purchase
  • Trade-in device details

All trade-in devices must be no older than 7 years old. Click here for instructions on how to find your trade-in devices age.

We approve your claim

Our agents check to make sure you have provided all the information needed to process your claim. If you have, we'll approve your claim within 2 working days.


On approval of your claim, we'll send instructions telling you how to send us your old device for recycling. You'll need to send us your trade-in within 30 days of claim approval.

When we receive your trade-in, we'll check to make sure it meets the conditions outlined in our Terms. If it does, we'll validate your cashback payment and update you by email.
